## 3 BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY Tested at 250 mM rac-2 and rac-21 were inactive as inhibitors of adenosylsuccinate synthetase (AdSS). Both compounds were also inactive when tested as herbicides against a selection of mono-and dicotyledonous weed species at 2 kg ha À1 in the Novartis 1a standard screen.
This work studies, at lab scale, a reactive adsorption technology for the removal of the H 2 S from biogas produced in landfills or anaerobic digesters. The main phenomenon is an irreversible chemical reaction between the solid and gas phase. The study produces data on the efficiency of the process
