✦ Synopsis
Accurate measurements of the ac susceptibility x(T) have been performed on YBa2Cu307 powder samples of calibrated size at nearly perfect stoechiometry with an ac magnetic field perpendicular or parallel to the ab plane. Drastic changes in x(T) with the average crystallite size and with the field direction are evidenced. For T<0.2 T c the T variations of z(T) directly reflect those of MT) and in both directions a quadratic T dependence is found This result is at variance wifll a BCS model with an isotropic superconducting gap The low excitations can be interpreted rather with conventional pairing (anisotropic s-wave) or unconventional pairing (d-wave with disorder).

We present the magnetic penetration depth X(/) in two laser ablated YBa~Cu307\_ n thin films, determined by the two-coil method. The slope of 1/Xz(/) near T~, the only exactly measurable quantity, extrapolates to 930A at T=0, which compares well with 830~, in the high quality single crystal recently
The temperature dependence of the magnetic field penetration depth 2 (T) in superconducting YBazCu307\_ a has been determined by measuring the AC susceptibility of fine powder at the frequency l 05 Hz. The reason for noticeable changes in 2 at low temperatures has been found out: strong scattering o
