## Abstmet-In Part 1 transient rates of absorption of COa into NaOH, NaKOs/NaHCOa and NaaS solutions were measured. These results are here compared with the rates of absorption of COa into similar solutions in a column packed with 4 in. Raschig rings. It is found that the Higbie and Danckwerts sur
