✦ Synopsis

Lexan is normally characterized by low hardness, poor adhesion on SiO 2 and small surface energy. In this work, the effect of argon RF plasma (13.6 MHz) with various treatment times (1-10 min) on the wettability, hardness, crystallinity, thermal stability and the surface energy of Lexan is investigated using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and contact angle measurement.
