β¦ Synopsis
Regional lymph node cells from some patients with locally advanced bladder carcinoma were found to inhibit the reactivity of normal and autologous peripheral blood lymphocytes in mixed leukocyte culture. The data suggest that suppressor cells are generated in draining lymph nodes of these patients by a high concentration of tumor-derived products and may have suppressive influence on host immunologic defense mechanisms.

## Abstract Regional draining lymph nodes (LNs) play a pivotal role in initiating immune responses. However, the presence of metastases may compromise their normal immunological function. Preclinical studies indicate that despite metastases, early tumorβdraining LNs are still a rich source of sensi
## Abstract ## BACKGROUND. Previous reports have suggested that extracapsular extension (ECE) is a prognostic factor in patients with urothelial carcinoma who have positive lymph nodes at the time of radical cystectomy. In the current study, the relevance of ECE in patients treated in the contempo
We evaluated the relationship between the size of regional lymph nodes and the presence of metastasis in them in rectal cancer. Of 1,064 lymph nodes in 46 specimens, 133 (13%) were found to have metastases. A half of the positive nodes and most of the negative ones were less than 5 mm in diameter. T
