โœฆ Synopsis

We have fabricated DOrphous films of Nb,-xNix in a range of 0.15<x<0.8 by vapour quenching IlE!thod, in which they exhibited a negative temperature coefficient of resistivity and a broad X-ray peak around Nb(llO). The unexpected behaviors of Tc and Hc2 (T) for films in 0.3<x<0.6 was observed, where the Tc decreased with an increase of x without a variation of the bare density of state Nb(O) and the Hc2 (T)/Hc2 (0) at low T /Tc indicated the depression propotional to Ni contents. These data might be explained due to the enhancement of spin susceptibility considering the spin fluctuation.

The disappeara.nce of superconductivity in ultra thin amorphous Nb films has been studied by the measurements of the electrical sheet resistance \_Rn and I-V characteristics. The mean field transition temperature Tยข0amd the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition temperature TKThaVe been determined for films
