✦ Synopsis
We have prepared two series either 12A or 24A YBCO layers, of YBa2Cu307/PrBa2Cu307 (YBCO/PrBCO) superlattices with constant, and increasing thickness of the PrBCO layers. For both series the superconducting transition temperatures T, first decreases linearly with increasing the PrBCO thickness, and then remains about constant. A plateau at =50K is clearly observed for the 24A constant YBCO layers for d>60A. For the 12A constant YBCO layers a similar plateau seems to occur for d-PrBC0>70A with a Tc value around 10K. The possible origins of this behavior are discussed.
