✦ Synopsis

In this note we consider the electronic energy levels and the optical properties of heavily doped mixed molecular cryst'als of organic molecules differing by isotopic substitution. utilizing the Green function method, and expressing the properties of the doped crystals in terms of the weighted density of states of the pure crystal.

In distinction to previous work aJ.J host and impurity transitions from the ground state arc included and the number and nature of the impurities is arbitrary. The fist feature is im~ort~t for proper consjderatio~ of crystal field polarization effects. It is shown that the effective long range inter
