## Abstract The solvent effect on a nucleophilic substitution reaction of 2โ€ and 4โ€chloroโ€3,5โ€dinitrobenzotrifluoride with substituted anilines was studied in methanol, acetonitrile, and toluene at 25ยฐC. This reaction is of second order, except 2โ€chloroโ€3,5โ€dinitrobenzotrifluoride in toluene shows

## Abstract Rate constants have been measured in several aqueous/organic solvent mixtures for the addition reaction of Cl~2~^ห™โˆ’^ radicals with 2โ€propenโ€1โ€o1 and 2โ€butenโ€1โ€o1 as a function of temperature and with 2, 3โ€dimethylโ€2โ€butene at room temperature. The rate constants were in the range of 10^
