The gas sensitivity of chromium oxide, a semiconductor metal oxide, to hydrogen in air and to oxygen in hydrogen is presented and the operation principle is described. It is shown that when this oxide is doped with Pd promoter, it has high sensitivity to hydrogen concentrations of a few ppm in air.
The capacitances of CuO mixed with BaSnO,, SrTiOs, CaTiOs, and ZnO are dependent on the CO2 concentration, similarly to that of CuO-BaTiO,. In particular, the mixed oxide CuO-SrTiO, is more sensitive to CO, than CuO-BaTiO,, and the mixed-oxide capacitor CuO-BaSnO, is promising for sensing CO2 over
