✦ Synopsis
Through our flow injection analysis experiments, we discovered that an unsaturated complex of (\mathrm{Cu}) (II) and organic ligand had a strong catalytic effect on 1.10 -phenanthroline- (\mathrm{H}{2} \mathrm{O}{2}-\mathrm{CTMAB}) chemiluminescence reaction. Based on this mechanism, the new flow injection analysis methods for detection of some biological ligands were established. Detection limits are in the range of 2.7-90 pmol for amino acids. polyamines, and salicylic acids. 1995 Academic Press, Inc.

## Abstract A novel ligand 3‐(1__H__‐imidazo[4,5‐__f__][1,10]phenanthrolin‐2‐yl)‐4__H__‐1‐benzopyran‐4‐one (ipbp) and its ruthenium(II) complexes [Ru(bpy)~2~(ipbp)]^2+^ (**1**) and [Ru(ipbp)(phen)~2~]^2+^ (**2**) (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine, phen=1,10‐phenanthroline) were synthesized and characterized by
