β¦ Synopsis
The interactions in binary liquid mixtures were studied. The Flory-Huggins interaction parameters are calculated. When the effects of concentration fluctuation and free volume on the interaction parameter are taken into account, the interaction parameters are found to be much smaller than the corresponding critical parameters.

Raman scattering measurements of the linewidths and resonance frequencies of the polarized vibrational two-photon resonance of liquid CO and of liquid CO-OS, CO-N2 and CO-Ar mixtures are presented. A theoretical calculation of the dipole-dipole contribution to this linewidth is given; the results ar
