โฆ Synopsis
Raman scattering measurements of the linewidths and resonance frequencies of the polarized vibrational two-photon resonance of liquid CO and of liquid CO-OS, CO-N2 and CO-Ar mixtures are presented. A theoretical calculation of the dipole-dipole contribution to this linewidth is given; the results are in order of magnitude agreement with the experiment.
