โœฆ Synopsis

Mineral composition of grain and flour in 14 promising triticule strains from lndia are reported. The mean values for whole grain, i. e. Ca (0.47 mg/g), P (2.70 mg/g), K 4.60 mg/g, Na (352 pg/g), Zn (41.6 pg/g), Cu (7.0 pg/g), Fe (73.4 pg/g) and Mn (33.6 pg/g) were obtained as compared to those of flour, i. e. Ca (0.27 mg/g), P (0.97 mg/g), K (1.64 mgig), Na (231 pg/g), Zn (26 pg/g), Cu (4.0 pg/g), Fe (42 pgk) and Mn (10.5 pg/g), respectively. These values were found to be considerably higher than those of wheat. Highly significant positive correlations of ash with sodium and zinc in whole grain were observed. In the case of triticale flour, highly significant positive correlations of ash with manganese, phosphorus and potassium were obtained.

## Abstract **Summary:** It is well known that coupling agents improve the adhesion between poly(propylene) and wood fillers leading to an increase of the composite mechanical properties. Above a certain concentration limit of the coupling agent, however, deterioration of the mechanical properties

The copolymerization of a precursor of poly(p-phenylene benzobisthiazole) (PBZT) with aromatic polyamides was attempted. Two types of copolymers, randomlike and blocklike, which have different properties, were synthesized according to the copolymerization process. The copolymers were suitable for us
