We discovered that 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) has a strong catalytic effect on luminol-potassium ferricyanide chemiluminescence (CL). Results indicated that the chemiluminescence intensities at maximum light emission were linearly corrected with the concentration of PAR over the range 1.0 x 1
