β¦ Synopsis
The relative quantum efficiencies of allylphosphonate (%12) formation, from the triplet-sensitized photoresrrangement of allyl phosphites (1-6), can be qualitatively correlated using the 1.2-b'wadical model for ~-g* excited states and considering the effect on excited state energies and lifetimes of placing the bond in a small ring.
