✦ Synopsis

A~traet--The phase behaviour of selected thermotropic poly(2-alkyl-l,4-phenylene terephthalate)s, in respect to their thermal history and molecular weights and the size of the alkyl substituent, was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and wide angle X-ray diffraction; the results were compared with those obtained from previous studies.

## Abstract A vibrational study of two crystalline forms of the __N__,__N__′‐diphenyl‐1,4‐phenylenediamine molecule is reported. This compound shows polymorphism in its solid state, i.e. either an orthorhombic or a triclinic structure is obtained depending on the conditions of crystallization. Thre
