## Abstract Sequential analysis of oligosaccharide structures can be achieved by semiselective NMRβpulse techniques. Gaussianshaped pulses combined with multistepβrelayed coherence transfer and NOE have been used to determine the sequence and assign the carbohydrate resonances of lanatoside C.

Abstract
Coherence transfer methods, such as multipleβrelayed COSY and homonuclear HartmanβHahn spectroscopy, were applied to extract subspectra of constituent monosaccharides, which allowed complete assignments of the proton resonances of oligosaccharide chains of glycolipids. The chemical structure of oligosaccharide chains of glycolipids could be determined by the combination of coherence transfer methods and NOESY experiments.
