✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The ^1^H and ^13^C NMR spectra of ‘Thiele's ester,’ i.e. dimethyl 3α 4α, 7α, 7α‐tetrahydro‐4,7‐methano‐1H‐indene‐2,6‐dicarboxylate, have been assigned completely by using a combination of one‐ and two‐dimensional NMR techniques. The results thereby obtained afford the first unambiguous assignment of the structure of Thiele's ester that has been made solely on the basis of NMR spectral analysis. The structure obtained is fully consistent with that of Thiele's ester established previously by chemical methods.

The complete assignment of the 'H and 13C NMR spectra of two carbothioamide-substituted meroterpenes is presented. Resonance assignments were achieved by the use of one-and two-dimensional NMR, NOED, selective decoupling measurements and the deuterium isotope effect on the I3C chemical shifts. Six-m
## Abstract The complete assignment of the ^1^H and ^13^C spectra of 2‐__exo__‐ and 2‐__endo__‐nor‐bornenemethanol is presented. Resonance assignment was achieved using ^1^H–^1^H double resonance, COSY and ^1^H/^13^C correlation spectra. Computer simulations of the H‐2 (__exo__ or __endo__) proton
## Abstract Unambiguous and complete assignments of ^1^H and ^13^C NMR chemical shifts for 15 limonoids, eight of them found in natural sources and seven other synthetic derivatives, are presented. The assignments are based on 2D shift‐correlated [^1^H,^1^H‐COSY, ^1^H,^13^C‐gHSQC‐^1^__J__(C,H), ^1^
