Review
I was running to the chiropractor, osteopath, and physical therapist. They were correcting the misalignments, but not teaching me how to avoid them. Now, with this new knowledge I usually can work them out by myself. Most of all I have become pain free and have a sense of control over my body. --Isadora S. Illinois
I have read several books and articles on the subject of sciatica and none has been as clear and helpful. In fact, the [exercises] described in some are exactly contrary to what soothes the sciatic nerve. I have been doing almost everything wrong and subsequently, getting no relief. Last night I had the first half-way decent night sleep in many weeks after doing your exercises. I wish I had found your book sooner. Thank you again. --Marlene S. Arizona
Sciatica is one of the most difficult problems a physician has to treat. Through this book, I have introduced my patients to this innovative method of treating this disorder, without resorting to surgery or painful injections. --Michael Woo-Ming, MD
About the Author
Pamela Kihm began motivating people to choose more healthful ways of moving more than thirty years ago. She was one of the first advocates of low-impact dance-aerobics helping her students reach aerobic levels without causing joint damage. She has a degree in Behavioral Science and since completing the 900+ hour Feldenkrais Methodยฎ of somatic education training in 1991 has had a continuous active Feldenkrais practice.
Through her books and in her private practice as a Guild Certified Feldenkraisยฎ Practitioner, people learn to move more efficiently with less wear and tear on their bodies. Frequently her clients find that subtle modifications to exercises prescribed by the medical community make those exercises noticeably less painful and markedly more effective.
