In bistable magnetic wires, the switching ÿeld H * is an applied magnetic ÿeld su cient to remagnetise a wire. The spectrum of the uctuations of H * depends on temperature. We demonstrate that this e ect leads to a maximum of the thermal dependence of the amplitude of the wire magnetisation.
