β¦ Synopsis
Ahstraet-A mathematical model is presented to describe the steady state behavior of high temperature solid electrolyte fuel cells. The resulting equations are solved for the case of anodic oxidation of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Similar to chemical reactors, fuel cells are found to exhibit steady-state multiplicity over a wide range of parameters. The paper discusses the relative importance of the pertinent design and operating parameters in order to maintain ignited steady states corresponding to high current densities and nearly complete fuel conversion.

## Abstract Summary: Fuel cells were designed for high temperature operations. Poly[2,2β²β(__m__βphenylene)β5,5β²βbibenzimidazole] (PBI) was synthesized in a solution of P~2~O~5~, CH~3~SO~3~H, and CF~3~SO~3~H. The PBI was dissolved in a mixture of CF~3~CO~2~H and H~3~PO~4~ and the solution was used f
Critical to epithelial cell viability is the homeostasis of cell volume and composition during changes in transcellular transport. In this study, two previously developed mathematical models (principal cell of the collecting duct and proximal tubule cell) are approximated by their linearizations abo
Performance of the cylinder type high temperature fuel cell was calculated on the basis of fuel flow. Fuel composition change, output current, cell length, and electrolyte and/or electrode resistance were explicitly taken into account. Fuel consumption profile, current density distribution, and pote
