The stability of a viscous flow between two rotating coaxial cylivaders with large ratio of gap-width to cylinder-radius is investigated. The mathematical characteristic value problem is solved approximately. Numerical calculations for the radius-ratio equal to 1.71 are carried out to determine the

The problem of a steady motion of a viscous incompressible fluid between two ลฝ . rotating coaxial cylinders Couette flow is considered. It is shown by operator theory that it is linearly stable with respect to two dimensional disturbances under all circumstances. The proof is based on a lemma which
