✦ Synopsis

How can a consortium of higher education institutions-two-year and fouryear, public and private, major research institutions, comprehensive universities, and community colleges-successfully share advanced technology? Further, why would colleges and universities, with such diverse missions and only geography binding them, create a vision and strategy for working together? The experiences of the North Suburban (Chicago) Higher Education Consortium, one of ten consortia in Illinois drawn together by technology, provide some answers.
