β¦ Synopsis
Square-wave voltammetric measurements of the Eu(III)-salicylate (Eu-Sal) complex in 0.55 mol 1-l NaCl at pH 5.3 were made. At various europium concentration levels (from 10-s to 10e6 mol 1-r) the redox process of the Eu-Sal complex is reversible, with adsorption of the reactant of the redox reaction. The detection limit with an accumulation time of 5 min at 0 V vs. Ag/AgCl was lo-* mol 1-l Eu(II1). A maximum surface concentration r max = (2.31 f 0.46) x lo-" mol cm-' was found.

The effects of changing certain parameters of the applied potential waveform at a dropping mercury electrode (DME) in square-wave voltammetry (s.w.v.) were investigated and compared with theory. Optimum parameters of the waveform are determined for a reversible system, lead(I1) in 0.10 M perchloric
A simplex optimization procedure has been applied to square wave voltammetric on-line measurements; the objective function maxim&d half-height. is the ratio of the square wave peak current to the width at
