Off and on for the past two years various persons have recorded in Science their observations on the twisting of the grain in trees. Generally the author of the communication has concluded with a statement of opinion that the twisting of tree trunks and limbs is caused by the wind and supported the opinion with a very logical interpretation of the data observed.
