โฆ Synopsis
The 3455 8. triplet state of s-triaine is not a straightforward problem in conventional spectroscopy. A summary of spin-orbit calculations and of the significance of previous Zeeman-effect work is presented with the objective of understanding the source of the out-of-plane intensity in the transition. Some novel mechanisms of singlet-triplet transition intensifications are considered and virtually all of them are concluded to be unlikely candidates to esplnin the s-triazine data including polarization, Zeeman effects (high and low field) and Stark effects.

In this paper we study interactions between orbital and rotational motions of an irregular-shaped satellite of a massive spherical object. Dissipative effects are not taken into account. It is shown that spin-orbit coupling can have important effects on the orbital behavior, leading to chaotic orbit
