✦ Synopsis

The utilization of liquid-phase epitaxy for growing thin yttrium-aluminium garnet films is discussed.

By transfer method from lead solvents films were obtained with a composition YsA1501,: NdS+ on substrates with composition YSA1,Ol2, and films Y3A1501,: Ers+, Y,Al,O,: Era+, Gas+ (about 40 wtyo of erbium) on substrates Y3AI,01,:NdS+. Characteristics are given for silmultaneous induced emission generation of the system film-substrate at 77 K Era+ ion (Agen = 1.6602 pm) being a component of the film, and Nda+ ion, being a component of the substrate (Agen = 1.061 pm). The results obtained are discussed.

## Abstract Studies of dislocations in single crystals of Aluminium–Yttrium Garnet (YAG). Description is given to the distribution of the average density of dislocations in YAG crystals grown by Czochralski'S method. Effect of various growth factors on the structural perfection of crystals is deter
