## Abstract The symmetry species of Raman modes of molecular units belonging to all important and frequently encountered symmetry point groups adbsorbed on metal surfaces are classified into A^I^, A^II^, A^III^, DIAο£ΏI(ΞΌ), DIAο£ΏII(ΞΌ), etc., and tabulated (DIA = distortion‐induced activity). An exampl
