Transient absorption spectra and triplet decay rates k,, of thioxanthone (TX) and 2,4diisopentylthioxanthone (DITX) in solid polymer matrices were measured using an Nd:YAG laser flash photolysis technique. In a polystyrene matrix, the triplet decay rates of TX and DITX are not dependent on their con

## Irradiation of acetone-d6 and tetrnmethyl-ethylene (ThlE) yields acelone and T?AE-d6 as the only products. The comparable behavior of this reaction and the transfer of triplet excitation energy from aGetone to olefins points to a common molecular triplet oxetane intermediate for both processes.

The relaxation of spectral holes burnt in alcohol glass doped with dimethyl-s-tetrazine is shown to follow logarithmic time patterns. There is a significant influence due to sample aging. It is concluded that the spectral diffusion processes are slow and occur on the time scale of the experiment.
