β¦ Synopsis
Mesenteric panniculitis is an uncommon disease.
To the best of our knowledge, only eight cases have been reported with ultrasonographic evaluation of this disorder. This article presents a case of panniculitis first recognized with sonography that was also studied with CT and finally confirmed by pathologic examination. The possibilities and limitations of sonography in the study of mesenteric panniculitis are highlighted.
