โœฆ Synopsis

In this paper, we compute the means and product moments of record values from linear exponential dlstnbutlon We also derive the recurrence relations for both single and product moments of record values In a recursive process, we show that these relations can be used to compute the smgle and product moments of all record values The so obtamed results can be used to estabhsh slmllar results for exponential and Rayleigh dlstrlbutlons as special cases Fmally, we extend our results to include the moments of k-record values

The independence between spacings of record values and of individual record values is well known when the records come from a geometric distribution. Here we examine the form a function of two record values must have if we require independence from a lower record value. Also similar questions are ex

Although the reaction of substituted fluoroolefins with nucleophiles, such as ethoxide, has received considerable attention in recent years (l), little is known concerning the subsequent attack by excess Grignard reagent on the initially formed substitution product in these systems.
