β¦ Synopsis
The effect of TtIPC was studied on some pharmacological and neurochemical changes induced in the rat by mescaline. The results show that THPC antagonizes the effect of mescaline on the calorigenic action of cr methyl-m-tyrosine in reserpinized mice. THPC potentiated the depletion of brain dopamine caused by H77/77 in combination with mescaline. In none of the other pharmacological or neurochemical tests was there any evidence that THPC antagonized or potentiated the effects of mescaline.
