โฆ Synopsis
IT was shown by Lord Rayleigh 1 that the natural frequency of a circular plate diaphragm, such as is used in a telephone receiver, is directly proportional to the thickness and inversely proportional to the area of the plate. This is on the assumption that the material of the plate remains uniform and homogeneous, and that all other conditions remain constant.
