Abstract
According to βinterference theoryβ of reliability, a component fails if the maximum stress exceeds the component's strength. Assuming that both these quantities are random and their distributions are normal, we obtain in this paper some point and interval estimates of reliability when the stress distribution is known and a few observations exist on component strengths.

This paper describes research into the development of reliability prediction models for rotor transmission systems in which component failure is caused by underlying aging processes such as fatigue, wear or corrosion. Reliability prediction is based on the stress-strength interference methodology, w
High-voltage and large-capacitance plastic film capacitors are developed for use as a power supply of space stations. The specifications for filter circuit use are 250 V and 0.01 mF to 68 mF and for the resonance circuit, 400 V and 0.01 mF to 0.22 mF. The parts for space station use must be of very
