✦ Synopsis

SOLVENT

effect on the 'H NMR spectra of the a-proton of a, N-diarylnitrones has been studied, and comparison studies of chemical shift with corresponding imines chemical shifts were done. Chemical shifts show poor correlation with the polarity measurement parameter (ET) and acceptor number (AN), while a fair correlation with donor number (ON) was obtained.

The British Library Document Supply Centre Supplementary Publication No. Sup 13064 contains 9 pages of manuscript and table. Retrieval Information is given on the penultimate page of each issue of Spectrochimica Acta A.

## Abstract ^1^H NMR chemical shifts for some α‐hetero‐substituted __N__,__N__‐diethylacetamides were recorded. The resonance assignments for the __syn__‐ and __anti__‐methylene and ‐methyl protons have been made unambiguously through their aromatic solvent induced shifts and are opposed to the lit
