The effects of various solvents and pH on the solubility cbaracteristics of glycine, L-alanine, L-valine, L-phenylalanine, and DL-amino octanoic acid were studied in a series of hydroalcoholic solvent systems. The solubility properties of the amino acids studied were found to be dominated by the a-a

โฆ Synopsis
The solubility of the acid gases, H,S and CO,, and their mixtures in a mixed solvent consisting of 55 mass % 2piperidineethanol, 10 mass % sulfolane and 35 mass YO water has been determined at 40" and 100ยฐC. Partial pressures of the acid gases ranged from 0.05 to 5550 kPa.

Modeling results indicate that polymer chains in mixtures of a good with a bad solvent exhibit preferential adsorption of the good solvent. That phenomenon is found to be strongly dependent on molecular weight and it increases with a decrease in chain length. These results have important consequence

## Abstract A method is presented for predicting solubilities of solid solutes in mixed solvents, based on excess Henry's law constants. The basis is statistical mechanical fluctuation solution theory for composition derivatives of solute/solvent infinite dilution activity coefficients. Suitable ap
