Solid state NMR and X-ray crystallographic analysis have proven that dissymmetrization by enzymatic asymmetric hydrolysis of meso bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene(norbornene)diesters does not induce significant electron distortion of the olefinic bond.
