An efficient solid-phase synthetic approach for the synthesis of N-substituted 3, 4-dihydroquinazolinone derivatives has been developed. Four different 2-nitrobenzoic acids and three different 2-phenylacetyl chlorides were employed in the synthesis of this library. After purification, all products w

β¦ Synopsis
A novel method for solid-phase synthesis of dihydroquinazoline derivatives is presented. Polymer-bound 4-bromomethyl-3-nitrobenzoate and the corresponding amide are utilized as versatile precursors that undergo nucleophilic displacement with amines followed by reduction and cyclocondensation reactions to afford structurally diverse dihydroquinazolines with excellent yield and purity.

A novel solid-phase synthetic method for dehydroalanines and dehydropeptides has been developed. Elimination of the sulfone part with concomitant release from the solid support afforded the desired dehydroalanine derivatives. The products were given in good yields and excellent purities.
