## Abstract Vibrational spectra of solid tribromofluoromethane at temperatures between 12 K and the melting point were obtained using Raman and infrared techniques, with special emphasis on the lattice modes. No evidence for a solid‐state phase transition was found. Lattice peaks are tentatively as
