## Abstract Reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) are usually identified with pathological states and mediators of cellular injury. However, over the last decade ROS and RNS have been identified in skeletal muscle under physiological conditions. Detection of ROS and RNS
