β¦ Synopsis
The design of a single-feed, reduced-size circularly polarized circular microstrip antenna with four slits equally spaced and inset at the boundary of the circular patch is experimentally in¨estigated. Results show that by increasing the slits' lengths to be about 0.8 times the disk radius, the circular microstrip antenna can perform a circularly polarized radiation with a 50% antenna size reduction as compared to the con¨entional regular-size CP design. Details of the experimental results are presented and analyzed.
