A pulsed Nd:YAG Laser was used to evaporate solid targets of KTiOAsO 4 (KTA) at power densities of 0.6 to 2.0Γ10 9 W/cm 2 . KTA thin films were deposited on glass, Si (100). After proper annealing treatment, single phase, (orthorh-ombic) polycrystalline KTA thin films were obtained. Some propitious

β¦ Synopsis
Single-crystalline thin films of Sr 2 MoO 4 with K 2 NiF 4 structure have been epitaxially grown by a pulsed laser deposition on SrTiO 3 (1 0 0) and DyScO 3 (1 1 0) substrates. Phase-pure and high crystalline quality films were obtained in quite a narrow window of growth condition. The resistivity shows a metallic behavior and the residual resistivity is about two orders of magnitude lower than that of polycrystalline samples. Such single-crystalline Sr 2 MoO 4 films are suitable for examining the physical properties and exploring heterostructures with other oxides.
