In this study we offer a unique approach to achieve simultaneous evaluation of tissue and blood flow velocities from a single "low-VENC" image dataset (i.e.: prescribed for measurement of tissue velocities). A novel phase unwrapping algorithm is tested for this purpose.

## Abstract Cerebral blood flow (CBF) was measured in cat brain __in vivo__ at 2.7 T using ^2^H NMR to monitor the washout of deuterated saline injected into both carotid arteries via the lingual arteries. In anesthetized cats, global CBF varied directly with __P__aCO~2~ over a range of 20β50 mm Hg
## Abstract The washout of trifluoromethane (CHF~3~) from rat cerebral cortex was monitored by ^19^F NMR. After 15 min of inhalation of 67% CHF~3~/33% O2 the fluorine signal detected was in a steady state. The CHF~3~ was switched off rapidly at the endotracheal tube and the washout detected with 12
