## Abstract Several NMR experiments, one proton and several carbon detected, were used for the determination of ^1^__J__(C,H) values in saccharides. Couplings of anomeric carbons were measured from the ^13^C satellites in ^1^H NMR spectra. The simultaneous application of several purging schemes res

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A 1D pulse sequence designed for the selective detection of carbon–carbon connectivities and the measurement of the corresponding coupling constants is presented. The sequence takes advantage of the increased sensitivity and the higher accuracy obtained with multiselective excitation and 1D detection, respectively. The sequence is shown to be a valuable alternative to the popular 2D INADEQUATE experiment in cases where parts, instead of the full, carbon–carbon connectivity matrix are of interest. The sequence is especially useful for the selective measurement of the stereochemically interesting long‐range coupling constants.

## Abstract Carbon‐13 NMR spectra of pyridine have been observed by using the slow scan technique in the absorption mode. The long range coupling constants between carbon‐13 and protons have been obtained and assigned by the isotope substitution method.
Multinuclear NMR data ('H, 13C, '19Sn) have been obtained for almost all possible isomers of the composition Me3Sn(C3H,)SnMe3 ( m = 2,4,6) and Me3Sn(C,H,)SnMe3 (n = 0,2,4,6,8). The coupling constants xJ(Sn, Sn) (x =4,5) are not linearly related to the corresponding coupling constants "J(H, H), but a
