A thin-layer chromatographic method is described in which tetracyclines are separated on a cellulose layer by development with aqueous solutions of certain salts (magnesium, calcium, barium and zinc chloride). The spots exhibit good fluorescence in UV light, allowing ready detection without the nece

β¦ Synopsis
A technique for the determination of food dyes using reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography on octadecyl-modified silica is described. A solvent system containing 5.0% aqueous sodium sulphate solution enables good separation of the food dyes. Their separation is dependent on the pH of the solvent system, good separation among all dyes being obtained between pH 6.0 and 7.0. The determination of thirteen dyes can be achieved by a combination of methanol-acetonitrile-5.0% aqueous sodium sulphate solution (3:3:10) (solvent system A) and methanol-methyl ethyl ketone-5.0% aqueous sodium sulphate solution (1: 1: 1) (solvent system B).

A simple and sensitive (at the ng/mL level) method for buprenorphine assay in urine is described. Buprenorphine is extracted by a C18 cartridge, derivatized with dansyl chloride, resolved by a uni-dimensional, two developing mobile phase high-performance thin layer chromatography system and quantifi
In the wave field induced by active sources, the observed phase velocity of surface waves is influenced by both mode incompatibility (i.e. non-planar spread of surface waves is idealized as plane waves) and body waves. Effects of sources are usually investigated based on numerical simulations and ph
