## Abstract Sleep‐disordered breathing with recurrent apnea (periodic cessation of breathing) results in chronic intermittent hypoxia (IH), which leads to cardiovascular and respiratory pathology. Molecular mechanisms underlying IH‐evoked cardio‐respiratory co‐morbidities have not been delineated.
