Abstract
This paper presents measured and simulated results for a wideband, low‐profile patch antenna. A low‐profile (0.026λ~0~) rectangular‐shape patch antenna with two shorting pins and two probe feeds is studied. By exciting one port and terminating the other port by a 50Ω matched load, an impedance bandwidth of as much as 69% is achieving for this antenna. Radiation patterns at different frequencies are presented. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
