The o~/13 T-cell antigen receptor is formed by the combination of the o~ and 13 polypeptide chains which both consist of a constant and a variable portion. The genetic information for the variable portion on each chain is generated by rearrangements of variable (Tcr-V), diversity (Tcr-D, only for 13

The nucleotide sequences of 38 T-cell receptor (Tcr) beta-chain cDNA clones which were isolated from a cDNA library (2 x 10(6) plaques) constructed from bovine peripheral blood lymphocytes were determined. Of 38 cDNA clones, 22 were rearranged and contained the functional variable (V) gene segments.
