A number of reports have appeared concerning separation of purine and pyrimidine nucleosides and nucleotides by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) on polyethyleneimine (PEI) cellulose l--6. These represent modifications of the basic techniqu'es developed by Randerath and Randerath'-g who first employed
